Mechanisms, CCA Wattis Institute, 10/12/2017 - 24/02/2018
I contributed to the preparations for Mechanisms, a large group show curated by Anthony Huberman at the CCA Wattis Institute in San Francisco, opening October 12, 2017.
I wrote text for the show's brochure: http://www.wattis.org/MEDIA/01525.pdf
With over 100 works by artists like Neil Beloufa, Louise Lawler, Charlotte Posenenske, Richard Hamilton, Pope.L, Jay de Feo and Park McArthur, Mechanisms demonstrates how tools and machines, from animal traps to data analysis software, structure our environments. Supporting a small (& awesome) curatorial team, I helped research artworks, write exhibition materials, decide on hangs and reach out to press.
Mechanisms is on show at the Wattis until February 24, 2018. It will travel to the Secession in Vienna summer 2018.
